ABOUT MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion is a process of using microscopic fine crystals to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin. This allows the removal of the outer layers of dead skin and allows the new skin to grow and give a younger, smoother and healthier appearance. The crystals utilized are non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic, non-irritating, non-allergenic, sterile and only second to the hardest substance on earth which is a diamond.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS ?
Results are instant. When you walk in to our clinic, your doctor will examine your skin and discuss your objectives, i.e. what you want to do with your skin. If microdermabrasion is decided to treat your condition, you can undergo the treatment on the same day and walk out with a younger looking skin.
HOW DOES MICRODERMABRASION COMPARES TO OTHER SYSTEMS SUCH AS HOME SYSTEMS ?
Unfortunately, comparison is quite difficult because there are currently over 100 microdermabrasion systems available and every manufacturer have similar claims of facial improvement. There is a difference between the systems, but more importantly, the results are user dependent, which means that the best results can be only obtained with a skilled operator. The operator must understand both the abilities and limits of the microdermabrasion system and the skin condition that is being treated.
Home microdermabrasion systems can not produce the same results as the microdermabrasion systems found in a doctor's office, but can be used at the same
time in conjunction with microdermabrasion at a doctor's office. Please ask your doctor about whether such a treatment is helpful to your skin condition. Remember, more is not neccesarily better.
